Most MT3 sets are now hard to find, out of stock, or only available on the secondary market. What Is the MT3 Profile?
MT3 is a sculpted, high-profile keycap shape co-designed by Drop and Matt3o, modeled after the IBM beamspring terminal keyboards of the 1970s. Each row has a different angle, the tops are deeply scooped, and the overall feel is taller and chunkier than the OEM or Cherry profile sets that ship on most stock keyboards.

MT3 was effectively a Drop-exclusive profile. Drop owned the tooling, ran the group buys, and handled distribution. When Drop's ecommerce store closed March 31, 2026, the production pipeline for new MT3 sets effectively closed with it. The few remaining listings online — Amazon, manufacturer direct pages, third-party storefronts — are mostly running on leftover stock. New colorways aren't being produced. If you want MT3 in 2026, you're hunting for what's left, not shopping a live category.
If You Still Want MT3: Where to Look
A few of the most popular Drop MT3 sets still appear on Amazon at the time of writing, sold via Drop's storefront. Stock changes weekly and many sizes/kits are gone. Confirm availability before you click "buy" — these listings have been unreliable since Drop wound down.

If you specifically loved MT3 because of Matt3o's design hand, MTNU is his newer profile and the spiritual replacement. It's still sculpted and PBT, but medium-height instead of MT3's tall stack — easier to type on for hands used to standard profiles, and arguably better-engineered.
